These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding agreement made between you, whether personally or on behalf of an entity ("you") and SBS Dress Hire ("we," "us"or "our"), concerning your access to and use of the www.sbsdresshire.com.au website as well as any other media form, media channel, mobile website or mobile application related, linked or otherwise connected thereto (collectively, the "Site').

You agree that by accessing the Site, you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by all of these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with all of these Terms and Conditions, then you are expressly prohibited from using the Site and you must discontinue use immediately.

Bookings

  • Bookings are only secured when the booking fee is paid in full.
  • Bookings can be made directly via our store in person or via our online website.
  • We take bookings up to 4 months in advance

Postage & Returns

  • A regular rental period is for a duration of 4 days.
  • The dress is due to be returned during the opening hours on the last day of the booking (or next working day if the return date falls on a Sunday or public holiday) for boutique drop offs, customers are expected to return the garment within opening hours.
  • We offer interstate postage. Garments are posted in an Express Post satchel along with a return prepaid post satchel.
  • We do not deliver to PO boxes or parcel lockers. Consumers must provide a valid residential address
  • SBS Dress Hire will not be held responsible for any Australia Post delays.
  • The garment must be posted on the fourth day (no later than 2pm) in the return Express Post bag provided by SBS Dress Hire at the Post Office.
  • Customers must keep a copy of the lodgement receipt provided by the post office and provide to SBS Dress Hire for proof of return.
  • Customers are expected to notify SBS Dress Hire if there's a delay in returning the item.
  •  Customers are expected to notify SBS Dress Hire if the postage fee varies depending on the weight of the garment, we will include a return envelope which is addressed to our business.
  • Late returns attract a late fee of $50 per day. Late fees will be charged to the customer credit card details that were provided at the time of the booking.
  • If the customer has not returned the garment/s within 7 days after the return date, SBS Dress Hire will treat the garment/s as non-returned and will charge the User’s credit card 200% of the recommended retail price in addition to the rental cost the User has paid.

Cancellation Policy

  • Please choose carefully as we do not offer refunds or exchange for change of mind or incorrect size.
  • If your event has been cancelled or you cancel your hire, SBS Dress Hire will happily offer you a store credit note which is valid for up to 3 months given you provide minimum 7 days notice prior to commencement of your hiring period. If you cancel your hire within the 7 days you forfeit the full amount.

Product/Fit

  • It is your responsibility to inspect the garment prior to pick up in store, once the garment has been picked up we will accept no responsibility for any damages.
  • While we try our best to keep our garments in a good condition, the garment has been worn by others prior to your hire and it is not in brand new condition and garments may present fair wear and tear. Customers can request for live images of garments prior to hiring the garment
  • Customer must send photos and full description of any damages to hello@sbsdresshire.com.au within 12 hours of receiving garment if received via postage.

Dry Cleaning

  • SBS Dress Hire will dry clean the garment/s after the hire period. Customers agree not to attempt to dry clean, iron or alter the dress.
  • We dry clean and inspect all garment/s with the upmost of care however use of the garment/s is at your own risk and SBS Dress Hire shall not be held liable for any health-related complaints associated with the garment/s hired. Our products have been worn by other consumers prior to your hire.

Lost and Stolen/Damaged hired items

  • Customers are expected to take reasonable care of the hired item as they would with their own. In the unlikely event that the garment/s are lost, stolen or damaged, SBS Dress Hire will inspect the garment and decide on the cost of repair.
  • If the item gets lost, stolen or damaged beyond repair the customer is fully liable for the cost of replacement which can be up to 200% of the recommended retail price in addition to the rental fee paid by the customer.
  • SBS Dress Hire offers free damage insurance of up to $50 to cover minor damage or staining. Once SBS Dress Hire has assessed the minor damage or staining (at its sole discretion) if the repairs exceed $50 then the customer will be required to pay the difference.

Clearance Sale Items

  • All clearance sales are final. No refund or exchange.
  • All clearance sale items are ex rentals and not brand new.
  • Signs of wear may be visible on clearance sale items 
  • All clearance items are for purchase not for hire.

Credit Notes

  • All credit notes issued must be used prior to expiry date. SBS Dress Hire will not offer any extensions on credit notes
  • SBS Dress Hire will provide you with an email including amount, expiry date & voucher code. SBS Dress Hire will not hold any responsibility if the customer has neglected expiration date.
  • Credit notes are non refundable.
  • For bookings used with credit note: All cancellations must be made at least 7 working days prior to the customers event date. SBS Dress Hire will only reissue the credit note with the initial expiration date. 
  • SBS Dress Hire will not extend the expiration date should you cancel your booking.
